So I got a new laptop, a Dell Inspiron 6400 with Windows Vista - so far, so good. It's different, but not as different as I'd expected. There's a learning curve, but not extreme; however, to use and set up all the new gadgets and features requires a lot of time and investigation of what's available and how to best use it. It came with Google Desktop and the Google Toolbar for IE.
Installed Office 2007, from DVD.Chose not to install several apps: Outlook, Access, etc that I don't use.
A diary of our travel adventures and discoveries (Europe, China, Yellowstone, San Diego, etc.) and some occasional musings on why things are as they are or perhaps should be. If you comment, use a name - anonymous posting go to Spam folder.
